Stephane Grabina • August 30, 2022

If you own a European vehicle like a BMW or an Audi, you’re in the right place. Excluservice is your European auto repair service in Rockville, MD that brings you this guide on the three most common lights you’ll see in your car.

If you notice one of these pop on, you might want to pay attention to them as soon as you can. Because it may be the signal of an issue that could turn worse if you ignore it. Now, let’s dive right in and see which warning lights you need to pay attention to (and the action you need to take).

1.   CHECK ENGINE LIGHT

This is one of the most common alert lights on all vehicles. If this pops on in your European vehicle, it can be a number of things. It can be a small issue like your gas cap not being secure tight enough.

However, you may need to check it using a diagnostic tool. Run it through and find a code that will pop up. The codes may be found in your owner’s manual.

If it indicates something serious, you’ll need to bring it to a European vehicle repair specialist near Washington, DC. If anything needs to be repaired, Excluservice will have a 3 year, 36000 mile nationwide warranty you can depend on.

This light will be a sign that you need to pay attention to. Our ASE certified mechanics near Bethesda, MD will even do the diagnostics. We’ll take care of you the way we do our own family.

2.   OIL LIGHT

If the oil light is on, this can mean your oil levels may be low. Also, it may mean you need an oil change. This needs to be done every six months or 3000 miles (whichever comes first).

Excluservice will do a quick oil change service near Gaithersburg, MD if you need one. If you need anything replaced like an oil filter, we’ll get the work done. If you are in a rush, we’ll provide you with a loaner vehicle for all your errands.

We may provide you with a ride to and from the shop upon request. Either way, we’ll do our best to take care of you.

3.   TIRE PRESSURE

European vehicles will have a light that will indicate low tire pressure. It’s important to check your tires regularly and make sure they have at least 32 PSI of air. This can be easily fixed by making a trip to your gas station or wherever you can find an air compressor.
