When you should do it: A Brake Fluid Exchange Service is Recommended every 2 years.

Why you should do it: Brake fluids are hygroscopic (water absorbing), which means they absorb moisture from the atmosphere under normal humidity levels. Too much moisture can cause corrosion to any metal that comes into contact with the fluid, this includes but is not limited to the Anti-Lock Braking system, Brake Master Cylinder, Brake Lines and Brake Calipers.

Under Extreme Heavy brake use the friction created between the pads and rotors generate a lot of heat. Brake fluid has a high boiling point 388°F, however, when moisture is introduced the boiling point is lowered. There will come a point where the moisture content and temperature converge causing boiling. Boiling will convert the fluid which is not compressible into a gas/vapor that is compressible. This can cause a catastrophic brake failure. Some exclusions apply, ask your service advisor for details. Shop supplies fees & taxes extra. Valid for new clients only.
