How To Get Your European Car Ready For Winter

Stephane Grabina • October 28, 2021

Winter is just around the corner. And your European car needs to be ready for it. Excluservice, your European car mechanic in Rockville, MD has some tips to share with you on prepping your car for the cold days ahead.

Winter weather can appear when you least expect it. Especially if it’s a couple of inches of snow overnight. If you are commuting to and from work in the Washington, DC metro area via your Mercedes or BMW, your vehicle needs to be prepared for the potentially rough conditions ahead.

Let’s discuss some of the steps you need to take to get your European car ready:

•           Check your heating system

Temperatures in the DMV area will range anywhere between highs of 40 to 45 degrees and will usually dip below freezing on most nights. When you start up your BMW or Audi, there’s a good chance that you need to let it warm up a bit before you start heading out for the day.

Test out your heating system to see if you have warm air coming out of it. If something is wrong with it, Excluservice will work to get it fixed for you. We offer AC/Heating repair service near Silver Spring, MD and the surrounding area.

While it’s being serviced, you can use one of our loaner cars that are absolutely free.

•           Check your tires

You may have tires with plenty of miles on them. But if they are losing air pressure constantly, there is no way they will last during the winter. So you’d be better off getting them changed.

Excluservice has a 3-year, 36,000-mile warranty on all parts including their tires. Plus, a new set of tires will make sure that you will be on the road day in and day out without issue. But do watch out though, you may deal with patches of ice or snow.

•           Get it inspected

Every year, you should get your vehicle inspected to see if it’s still roadworthy. Even if it’s done before the winter months, your auto mechanic near Potomac, MD will make sure that everything is looking good. If not, they’ll make the repairs needed (and on the same day).

Excluservice is locally-owned and understands that many people near the Bethesda, MD area have places to go. Our qualified ASE-certified mechanics will check every nook and cranny of your vehicle and make the changes necessary for the winter months.

Don’t wait…get your BMW or European car ready now at Excluservice!
